Lead Organizer

We're a growing professional organizing business in the St. Louis area looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on individual to join our team. As our Lead Organizer, you'll independently manage organizing, packing, unpacking, and move management projects while serving as a trusted representative of HOME Allies. You'll bring professional experience and practical expertise to client projects, helping ensure services are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with our client experience standards.
This position is focused on leading projects and providing expert level organizing and move-management services. It is not a supervisory or personnel/management role.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, active work, has a strong eye for detail, and finds satisfaction in helping transform cluttered spaces into organized, peaceful environments. The ideal candidate is a confident problem-solver who can work independently, communicate effectively with clients, and manage projects with minimal oversight. You'll be part of a supportive, purpose-driven team that values kindness, professionalism, and creativity.

Project Leadership & Organizing Services
● Lead residential organizing, packing, unpacking, and move management projects independently.
● Assess client spaces and determine appropriate organizing systems, packing strategies, and project solutions.
● Independently manage assigned project areas and client sessions without direct supervision from company ownership, when appropriate.
● Maintain project momentum and ensure efficient workflow during sessions.
● Execute hands-on organizing, packing, unpacking, and move-management tasks using professional techniques and industry best practices.
● Create functional organizing systems for closets, kitchens, storage spaces, offices, and other household areas.
● Prepare items for relocation by packing fragile, valuable, sentimental, and everyday household contents safely and efficiently.
● Assemble boxes, apply labels, install shelf liners, and complete other project-related setup and finishing tasks.
● Assemble shelving units and small furniture pieces and hang lightweight framed artwork, as needed.
● Dust shelves and cabinets, remove trash and recycling, and maintain clean, organized workspaces throughout projects.
● Identify opportunities to improve functionality, efficiency, and long-term maintainability of client spaces.
Operations & Logistics
● Transport organizing products, supplies, and donations in personal vehicle, as needed.
● Communicate project updates, challenges, and recommendations to company leadership.
Technology & Documentation
● Take photos and videos of job sites and upload them to digital albums, as needed.

● Minimum of 2 years of professional organizing, move management, packing/unpacking, relocation services, or closely related industry experience required.
● Demonstrated experience independently managing organizing, packing, or move-related projects from start to finish, including the ability to prioritize tasks, maintain project momentum, and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
● Strong experience packing and unpacking household contents, including fragile, valuable, and specialty items.
● Compassionate, discreet, non-judgmental, professional, and courteous.
● Detail-oriented, energetic, proactive, and highly organized.
● Excellent time management and punctuality.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Ability to confidently communicate with clients and manage expectations.
● Creative thinker who enjoys collaborating to find practical solutions.
● Comfortable working independently in clients' homes and representing HOME Allies without direct oversight.
● Must be located in or near St. Louis, MO, have reliable transportation to job sites and errands, and be able to pass a background check.

● Professional organizing certification or formal organizing training.
● Experience with residential relocations, senior moves, downsizing, or move management.
● Experience packing fragile, valuable, and specialty household items.
● Experience working directly with clients in a service-based environment.
● Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
● Experience using Google Workspace and cloud-based collaboration tools.

● Must be able to perform physically active work in a fast-paced environment, for extended periods of time, including standing, bending, reaching, walking, climbing and descending stairs.
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of team support during projects or events, including, but not limited to organizing materials, packing supplies, or client items such as bins, boxes, x-large garbage bags, or small furniture pieces.
● Must be comfortable working in a variety of residential environments, including attics, basements, garages, storage units, crawl spaces, and other confined or challenging spaces.
● Ability to tolerate dust, pet hair, pet dander, household odors, and varying levels of household cleanliness.
● Ability to work in seasonal weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, humidity, and outdoor environments during organizing, packing, moving, donation drop-off, or supply transportation activities.

● Part-time, W-2 position.
● Hours vary based on client projects. Some weeks may have no work or as little as 3 hours, other weeks are busier with up to 24 hours.
● Work hours are between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends.
● Attendance at monthly Tuesday morning team meetings required.
● Pay rate: $20 - 25 per hour.

St. Louis, Missouri
On-site position — work takes place in clients’ homes and properties throughout St. Louis, St. Charles, and surrounding counties. This role also includes in-person errands using a personal vehicle for tasks such as picking up supplies, transporting donations, and supporting project logistics.
